(Ames, IA) — A year ago, Iowa St. had a lot of uncertainty at the quarterback position — not so in 2024.
Sophomore Rocco Becht has grabbed the position with both hands and has not let go. In his freshman season, Becht threw for 2,674 yards with 20 TD and 8 interceptions, had a pass efficiency over 150 and was ranked among the top 30 quarterbacks in the country. Head Coach Matt Campbell says Becht is off to a great start in this year’s camp
Campbell says that Becht is a completely different football player from last year and has become a complete leader for the Cyclones
