(Des Moines) The National Weather Service is forecasting strong to severe thunderstorms later today. Brad Small, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, says the next storm system is expected to move the state’s southwest region this evening.
Chances for more storms linger into Thursday, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. A few of these storms may be strong to severe, with damaging winds and large hail.
