(Lincoln, NE) — There is still some work to do for the Nebraska Blackshirts before the season starts in just over two weeks.
Last season, the Huskers were ranked 11th nationally in total defense and Nebraska returns everybody on their defensive line which has now been dubbed “Death Row.” However, Defensive Coordinator Tony White was not pleased with the defensive performance in the closed scrimmage on Saturday
White says the defense has worked hard but needs better execution — he says they ramped up the heat this week in practice. Nebraska opens their season Saturday, August 31st hosting Texas El Paso. Audio courtesy Huskers Online on you tube.
