(Kingsley) Two people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle accident south of Kingsley in Woodbury County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 12:43 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 140 and 110th Street. Authorities say the 31-year-old driver of a 2007 RX350, identified as Deiler Reyes Pena, and a passenger, 29-year-old Yanisleydis Perez Hechavarria, both from Storm Lake, were injured in the crash.
According to the report, Deiler Reyes Pena, driving a 2007 RX350 northbound on 110th Street, failed to yield from the stop sign and struck the left side of a northbound 2018 GMC 1500 driven by 42-year-old Corey Lias of Sioux City. Subsequently, a semi-driven by 72-year-old Steven French of Moville, Iowa, traveling behind the GMC, struck the left side of Pena Reyes’s SUV.
Wings transported Deiler Reyes Pena to Mercy One Siouxland Hospital. Kingsley EMS transported Yanisleydis Perez Hechavarria to Mercy Siouxland Hospital.
