(Indianapolis, IN) – After declaring for the NBA Draft in 2023 and backing out to return to the Huskers for a successful 2023 season, Keisei Tominaga may end up getting a chance in the NBA after all. The former Husker has officially signed a free-agent deal with the Indiana Pacers.
Tominaga’s free-agent deal is a non-guaranteed signing at the league minimum and he has not been placed onto the Pacers’ regular-season roster. Tominaga went undrafted back in June and now has a chance to play for the Pacers in the NBA G-League on a contract that can be converted if the Pacers wish to do so with the Japanese native before the regular-season.
For Nebraska, Tominaga was one of the top shooters while averaging around 15 points per game and was 38% from downtown this past season. After the 2023-24 season, he was named to second-team All-Big Ten honors and helped push the Huskers in the NCAA Tournament while showcasing his talents in the recent three-point competition a few months ago.
