(Des Moines) Iowa has a good supply of electric power to handle the hotter-than-normal weather this summer.
Rob Allerman, Senior Director of Power Analytics at Enverus. MISO, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, distributes power across much of the Midwest, including Iowa. Allerman says MISO has more power supply than demand. That lowers electric prices and means there is less chance of brown-outs on summer’s hottest days.
