(Greenfield) As recovery efforts continue in the aftermath of the recent tornado in Greenfield, the community is coming together to support one another in various ways. Here are some important updates:
Volunteers Needed for Cleanup Efforts: If you require assistance with cleanup efforts on your personal or business property, the Volunteer Center is mobilizing workers daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tasks include debris clean-up, sorting, tree removal, minor repairs, and heavy equipment assistance. Please contact the Volunteer Center at 641-631-6555 to request help.
Volunteer Opportunities in Greenfield and Rural Adair County: Individuals looking to volunteer can check in at the Volunteer Center located in the Cardinal Glass parking lot between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteers will be assigned to projects based on community needs. Large groups are encouraged to call 515-561-3744 before arrival.
Private Debris Hauling: If you plan to haul storm debris privately, please contact 641-743-8343 before transporting any items to the Adair County Landfill.
Free Water and Well Testing: Rural Adair County residents can avail themselves of free water and well testing services. For more information, visit County Health Services.
