(Atlantic, IA) The Cass County Board of Supervisors had its first meeting today after the recent election. One of the topics of discussion was Resolution 2024-17.
The resolution would see Cass County appropriating $45,000 in ARPA funds to the city of Lewis to purchase an ambulance.
The ARPA funds will be sent to the city of Lewis to use at the city’s discretion. One of the issues Cass County has seen in years prior with the ARPA funds is the city doesn’t have to report how they have spent the money. That is something they would like to change before giving out more money to the city of Lewis.
The Board of Supervisors cites the Anita Daycare as a past reference.
Cass County Engineer, Trent Wolken also explained later in the meeting they are working on repairing bridges around the county.
