(Atlantic) On Wednesday, the Atlantic City Council approved a contract with Snyder and Associates to address ongoing problems along Mainstreet.
Dave Sturm, Engineer from Snyder and Associates, is bringing in their landscape architects to review the condition of the trees.
Sturm says the landscape architects will conduct the review and set a date for a public engagement meeting.
The architects will create a master plan, including trimming and possibly replacement. The city will assess its options with the expertise of the professionals and choose from several options with feedback from the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown businesses, residents, and stakeholders.
Dave Sturm says they are dealing with around 200 trees planted 30 years ago as part of the downtown streetscape project.
