Toddler Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Pottawattamie County

(Neola) A two-year old child was struck by a vehicle in the Kum & Go Parking lot in Neola Wednesday.

The accident happened at 2:30 p.m. The Iowa State Patrol says 67-year-old Rebecca Wood of Walnut was driving a 2024 Chevy Equinox slowly into the parking lot past the fuel pumps when the child ran across the path of the Equinox.

The Equinox struck the toddler, resulting in fatal injuries.
