(Crawford Co) One person died and four others were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Crawford County Tuesday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says an occupant of a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, 35-year-old Cory Robert Beer of Bayard, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Grand Prix, 23-year-old Brent Robert Dale Stephan of Yukon, Oklahoma, and two passengers: 23-year-old Heaven Marie Holloway, of Lytton, and 44-year-old Stacy Marie Holloway, of Lytton, suffered serious injuries and were transported to UNMC in Omaha by Life Flight.
The driver of a 2016 Chevy Suburban, 19-year-old Morgan Wade Andersen, of Shelby, was transported to the Denison Hospital by Denison EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident happened at 9:51 p.m. According to the accident report, Brent Stephan was driving the Grand Prix eastbound on Highway 30 when he lost control and collided with the Suburban.
The crash remains under investigation.
