(Greenfield, IA) — Residents in Greenfield, Iowa took a break from storm clean up to honor those lost in the Greenfield tornado.
Pastor Steven Broers of the Fontanelle Lutheran Church. The vigil was in front of the Adair County Courthouse on Tuesday night. Four people were killed and more than 30 were injured in last week’s EF-4 tornado.
A new website has been created for a one-stop shop of information; visit adaircounty.iowa.gov/tornado. Adair & Guthrie County Emergency Management noted that they are no longer accepting physical donations. Due to the sheer volume of generous donations, they have exceeded the capacity of their current storage facilities. You are encouraged to send monetary donations to the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation at greenfieldiafoundation.org. Or, drop off donations in Greenfield at Union State Bank or First National Bank.
