(Adair Co) A Des Moines man was arrested in Adair for Assault and Contempt- Failure to Follow Substance Abuse Recommendation.
On May 13th, officers were dispatched to Ivory Plains Recovery Center in Adair for an escapee. 48-year-old Jeremy Lathan Rushing was court-ordered to be there. While searching for Rushing, an officer noticed a female in the parking lot of the Budget Inn Motel who was talking to another individual and continuously looking at the officer. When asked if the individuals had seen anyone matching Rushing’s description, the individuals stated that a male matching the description knocked on their doors and asked them for drugs. An older female stated that she was homeless and that Jeremy immediately put her in fear of immediate contact and then later in the conversation he had touched her with his hands. The officer spoke with hotel office staff and found out that Rushing has just checked into a room. The officer went to the room, knocked on the door and made contact with Rushing. He was then placed under arrest and later released on his own recognizance.
In other activity, Wendi Nicole Wright, 43, of Stuart, was arrested May 14th on a warrant for Violation of Probation. Wright was held on no bond.
Mikele Adadi Neyte, 30, of Des Moines, was arrested May 14th on a warrant for Driving While License Denied or Revoked. Bond was set at $2,000 cash or surety. Neyte was turned directly over to a Clarke County Deputy.
Cory Anthony Eugene Hall, 37, of Des Moines, was arrested following a traffic stop on May 13th for Driving While Barred. Hall was released on his own recognizance.
