Extracurricular Activities
Throughout high school, Callee has been involved with FFA, National Honor Society, 4H, Cass County Youth Council, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Softball, Choir, Show Choir and the Grace Point Church Praise Team.
Hobbies
Callee enjoys riding horses, showing cattle, participating in sports, exercising, cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends and working on the farm.
Accomplishments
Callee was chosen as the feature of the US Farm Report Women in Ag Series in May 2023. She also recently was awarded the FFA Star Farmer Award and became a member of the FFA 10,000 point club. Other accomplishments include Academic All Hawkeye 10 Conference Honors for Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Softball. She has earned varsity letters in track and softball. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Pymosa 4H Club (where she serves as Vice President) and the Cass County 4H Youth Council. Her most proud accomplishment is starting her own farm at age 14, by renting 20 acres from a landlord. Now entering her 3rd year as a young farmer, this business venture continues to grow and shape her future.
Plans After Graduation
Following high school, Callee plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University with a minor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship. After college, she hopes to expand her network and knowledge by working in various aspects in the Ag industry before returning home to Cass County to rejoin the family farming operation – where she will be the 7th generation of Pelletts to work the land.
