(Atlantic) Atlantic Schools Superintendent Dr. Beth Johnsen presented ideas for summer school at the school board meeting on Wednesday. Johnsen says the focus will be on at-risk students.
The plan is to hold summer school for two weeks before the 2024-2025 school year starts: August 5-9 and August 12-15. For the elementary students, each 45-minute session would focus on math and reading.
Dr. Johnsen says the Middle School will be doing something different.
Johnsen, the plan for high school is credit recovery for credits they did not pass, or for credits, they need for particular classes.
