Iowa County Supervisor Charged For Driving Drunk Near Council Bluffs

(Pottawattamie County, IA) — A Western Iowa county supervisor is charged with driving a car while drunk.

The Iowa State Patrol says Pottawattamie County supervisor Jeff Jorgensen hit a car while driving westbound on Interstate 80 near Council Bluffs. Troopers say when he got out of his car’s driver’s seat, he couldn’t stand and fell into the roadway. ISP says he was more than twice the legal blood alcohol content limit.

Jorgensen’s term lasts until 2026.
