(Area) A wind advisory is in effect for all of southwest Iowa from 1:00 p.m. Saturday to 1:00 a.m. Sunday.
The National Weather Service say southeast winds will be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect Saturday for Audubon, Cass, Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont and Page counties due to very strong winds and dry fuels. Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning in not recommended.
