(Gainesville, FL) – Iowa track and field got back to action this week and Tionna Tobias jumped right onto the college leaderboard. The senior had a jump of 21′-4.25″ or 6.51 meters in the women’s long jump at the Stanford Invitational.
This jump by the senior marks the third-best in the NCAA after it was broken by a few other jumpers from around Division-I track and field this week. Her jump did mark the top at Iowa as the third highest in the Hawkeyes record book. At the Stanford Invitational, it marked the best jump on the day after she helped to win the event.
Iowa will return to action on April 4th in Tuscon, Arizona against the University of Arizona and multiple other teams in the Jim Click Shootout. That meet will run through April 6th.
