(Red Oak) Fire Departments from Red Oak, Stanton, Elliott, and Emerson battled a grass fire on Wednesday.
Red Oak Fire Chief John Bruce says the call went out at 5:55 p.m. to 250th and Aspen Avenue in southwest Montgomery County.
Fire crews acted quickly and had the blaze under control by 6:30 p.m.
Chief Bruce sends a special thanks to the farmer standing by with a tractor and disk if needed.
