(Creston) A Creston Police Officer responded to a two-vehicle crash on Sumner Street near the Casey’s Store on Friday.
According to the report, the accident happened at 4:09 p.m. The driver, identified as 55-year-old Gena Ann Chumbley, and 76-year-old Christine Marie Mansour, both from Creston, complained of neck/shoulder stiffness and refused medical treatment offered at the scene. Chumbley called in complaining of pain in her neck and back shortly after the Officer had left the scene.
Chumbley, driving a 2014 Chevy Cruze LT, told Police she was traveling in the inside lane and attempted to turn right. She claims she activated her turn signal and struck a 2017 Chevy Cruze LT driven by Mansour. Mansour claimed she did not see the turn signal and stated she did not have time to react to the other vehicle moving over to her lane.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage but were still functional and were driven away from the scene.
