(Atlantic) According to the Atlantic City Council Packet released on Monday morning, the bids are in for the Splash Pad Project.
During the council meeting on Wednesday, March 20, the City Council will hold a public hearing on the project’s plans, specifications, and contract form, act on the plan, review bids, and vote on a resolution awarding the contract.
Atlantic City Administrator John Lund says bids for the project came in lower than the engineer’s estimate of $611,328.00. Bidder 1, Hensley Group LLC, out of Muscatine, submitted the lowest bid of $552,084. Bidder 2, Caliber Concrete LLC from Adair, submitted a bid of $596,595.00. Bidder 3, Dostal’s Construction Company from Gretna, Nebraska, submitted a bid of $642,110.00.
Snyder and Associates is unfamiliar with the lowest bidder and will do some background work and reference checks before making a formal recommendation to the Council on Wednesday.
The City Council meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
