(Harlan) The Shelby County Board of Supervisors approved appointments to the Board of Adjustment and cost-of-living wage increases for all non-union employees on Tuesday.
The planned spending for fiscal year 2025 includes a three-percent cost-of-living wage increase for all non-union employees and a three-percent increase for the employees qualified to receive the increase. According to the minutes, if their Department Head approves the merit pay increase, they will receive a one-percent increase.
The Shelby County Board of Supervisors also approves the following appointments to the Board of Adjustment. Denny Gross, Darrin Haake, and Robbie Bissen.
In other news, Steve Kenkel has decided not to seek re-election after serving 12 years on the Board of Supervisors.
Additionally, a hearing on the proposed tax levy will be held on April 1 at 9:00 a.m.
