Leiah Thomas Wins Title at the AAU Girls State Wrestling Tournament

(Cedar Rapids) Atlantic eighth grader Leiah Thomas has a bright future in the sport of girl’s wrestling. Thomas captured the 165-pound title over the weekend at the AAU at the Girl’s State Wrestling Tournament in Cedar Rapids.

Winning championships is nothing new to Leiah. In January, she won the 2024 AAU Winter Nationals Tournament.

Thomas will continue to wrestle for Team Iowa at the Twin Rivers Wrestling Tournament alongside 62 other teams across the U.S.

Leiah Thomas is now 28-4 on the season and 22 pins.
