(Des Moines) Around 100 union members protested yesterday against an Iowa Senate bill they say will decimate public sector unions. Teamsters Local 238’s Jesse Case says lawmakers broke the public sector bargaining law in 2017 and are trying to break it more. They had a caravan of honking vehicles circling the statehouse and a plane with a banner calling for the bill from Senator Adrian Dickey to be voted down. Dickey defends the bill that would decertify any public employee union that does not provide the state a list of members when their contract is up for negotiation.
