(Clarinda) The Clarinda City Council discussed amending the Code of Ordinances regarding the provisions pertaining to trucks, accessory trailers and recreational vehicle parking.
According to the meeting minutes, City Manager Gary McClarnon stated the city zoning code does not allow people to live in a camper within the City Limits and, unfortunately, the city zoning code is not strong enough to enforce this rule. McClarnon stated a problem with existing campers and accessory trailers parked at the airport that need to be removed before the new airport hangars are built. McClarnon researched other city codes and created an ordinance to address these current issues. He requested the council to consider a parking violation ticket of $20.00 to be raised to $50.00. The council requested McClarnon to revise the ordinance to be discussed at the next council meeting. No action was taken.
The Clarinda City Council also set a public hearing on February 28th at 5:15 p.m. on proposal to enter into an amended Sewer Revenue Loan and Disbursement Agreement and to borrow money thereunder in a principal Amount not to exceed $15,154,000.
