(Earlham) One person died, and another person was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Madison County.
According to Law Enforcement, the accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday in the 1000 block of Pitzer Road, between Dexter and Earlham. A passenger in the car, identified as 42-year-old Jonathan Taylor, died in the crash. The 30-year-old driver was transported to a Des Moines Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The accident remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, 14 people have already died on the state’s roads this year.
