(Coralville, IA)- Day 1 of the Girls State Wrestling Championships is complete and Riverside has two wrestlers that have advanced to the semifinals and that much closer to the coveted top of the podium. First came the domination of top ranked Molly Allen at 125 lbs who has picked up three pins on her way to the semifinals. A returning state champion and predicted champion this year prior to the tournament, Allen has brought her sparring partner with her on the frontside of the brackets in 115 lb Carly Henderson.
Henderson picked up a tough 9-4 decision victory to cement her place in the semifinals.
Coach Taylor Frain loves what she sees from both these girls.
But what comes after a huge day of wrestling for two superstar Bulldogs?
