(Lincoln, NE) – The Nebraska Huskers were looking to keep their undefeated season alive, but #15 Creighton got the best out of the Huskers as they fell 89-60. Nebraska shot just 33.8% from the field and went 2-22 from the perimeter in the ballgame.
Leading in the game for Nebraska was Keisei Tominaga with 20 points and three rebounds while Rienk Mast earned nine points and pulled down seven boards. Tominaga went 8-16 from the field and was the only Huskers to score double-digits in the game. Baylor Scheierman led the Blue Jays with 24 points with six threes in the first half. He also pulled down 10 rebounds in the game for a double-double. Nebraska was not able to defend well against Creighton as they were able to put down 10-23 three-pointers in part to Scheierman’s success.
Ryan Kalkbrenner, Steven Ashworth, and Trey Alexander all scored 13 points each in the game while Kalkbrenner picked up 12 rebounds for a double-double. Creighton outrebounded Nebraska 48-37 overall in the game in part to Kalkbrenner’s performance.
Nebraska comes back to action this Wednesday, December 6th against Minnesota at 8:00 p.m.
