(Cass Co) Environmental Health Director Jotham Arber continues to stress the importance of radon testing.
Radon is a natural radioactive gas that can cause cancer.
Jotham Arber, appearing at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, said they have recently done 49 radon tests in Cass County.
Arber said in Cass County, the average radon rate is around 10 and they want it at 2.
Arber said it costs around $1,500 to install a radon mitigation system in your home.
Radon tests are available at the Public Health Office for $12.
