(Iowa City, IA) – Hawkeye head coach Kirk Ferentz has been named as one of the 20 coaches named to the Dodd Trophy Midseason Watch List. Ferentz is currently in his 25th season as Iowa’s head coach which is the longest-trunured coach in college football.
Coach Ferentz has led Iowa to over 20 different bowl games, as they have also earned a spot in a bowl game once again this year. He has led Iowa to a 192-116 record overall and is third in the Big Ten in league wins and fourth in total victories.
The Dodd Trophy is the most coveted coaching award in college football. This award goes to a coach who enjoys success on the field as well as stressing the importance of scholarship, leadership, and integrity which are the three pillars of Bobby Dodd’s coaching philosophy.
Iowa takes on Minnesota at home this weekend with a kickoff at 2:30 p.m.
