(Guthrie Center) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors set a public hearing for 9:30 a.m. on October 17 for the sale of county property to the City of Bayard.
County engineer Josh Sebern stated this is the first step in a three-step process about a facility the county no longer has use for. The City of Bayard is interested in purchasing the shed for $1,000. Bayard’s facility is in a delipidated condition.
Sebern is working with the county attorney to dispose of the property, similar to vacating a road. The process starts with setting the public hearing date, publishing the notice of the public hearing, holding the public hearing, and a resolution to act on disposing of the property.
