(Atlantic) The City Council on Wednesday will act on a Federal Purchase Policy for the Whitney Development Corporation, owner of 300 Chestnut Street. The corporation applied for and received a $300,000 CDBG Upper Story Housing Grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
The group is contributing $295,937.00 of its resources, and the city is offering in-kind grant administration assistance to cover the local match, which will create four new apartments within the building.
The City Council meeting starts at 5:30 at City Hall.
