(Griswold) The Griswold School Board will not pursue the proposed 4-day school week for at least the 2024-2025 school year. The decision came following the discussion on a 4-day school week survey.
Griswold School Superintendent Dave Henrichs says there is no hard-core data.
According to the survey, staff members were 50-50 regarding their ability to teach students effectively in four days instead of five. Regarding staff retainment, some respondents admitted they were more likely to stay if the district adopted a four-day week; about one dozen respondents said they would likely leave the district.
