(Area) Deer licenses went on sale in Iowa on Tuesday, August 15th.
Bryan Hayes with the DNR Office in Lewis reminds hunters that there is a limit on the number of antlerless tags available per county.
Hayes said there were 24 counties in the state where the number of antlerless tags available was reduced.
Hayes noted that in Pottawattamie County the antlerless tag quota was reduced from 500 to 250 and those are already sold out. In Cass County, the quota was reduced from 300 to 200 and there are still some tags available.
