(Oakland) Riverside Head Football Coach Darrell Frain likes how his squad is preparing for the 2023 football season.
Grady Jeppesen returns at quarterback after posting solid numbers one year ago, completing 54 percent of his passes for 1,277 yards and 11 touchdowns, despite an injured-plagued season. Landyn Schoenrock says minimal action at quarterback, completing 10-of-20 passes for 124 yards and one touchdown.
Last season, Gordon carried the ball 150 times for 516 yards and scored seven touchdowns. Meanwhile, Coach Frain says it’s critical to continue to practice at a high level each day.
Riverside is in Class A District 7 with ACGC, Earlham, IKM/Manning, Panorama, South Central Calhoun, and Southwest Valley.
The Bulldog scrimmage Treynor on Friday, August 18, and open the season at West Monona on August 25.
