(Council Bluffs) The Iowa West Foundation has awarded $3 Million in Grants in Southwest Iowa.
Some of the 2023 Cycle 2 Grants and Initiatives include City of Villisca, Building Demolition for farmer’s market & performance square worth $100,000, and Food Bank of Iowa, for pantries in rural counties (Adams, Audubon, Carroll, and Taylor) for $30,000. Other local grants include Golden Hills RC&D: Capacity and Operating Support for $90,000, Macedonia Fire and Rescue: Equipment for $10,000, Shenandoah Fire and Rescue: Community Garden for $20,000, Southwest Iowa Housing Trust Fund: Housing Repair for $100,000, and Treynor Community School District: ASPIRE Investments for $25,000.
The Iowa West Foundation announced they are now accepting Letters of Inquiry year-round, which is the first step in the grant application process.
