(Ames, IA) – Former Cyclone, Ashley Joens, signed an emergency hardship contract with the Las Vegas Aces to join the team as they are under 10 players available due to health issues from injuries to illnesses. She formally was on the Dallas Wings for eight games before they released her on June 28th. Joens is one of the most decorated players in Cyclone history, averaging over 26 points per game and totaling over 3,000 points while at Iowa State. She is joining an Aces team that is 20-2 on the season which is currently the best in the WNBA.
