(Avoca) AHSTW Schools Superintendent Darin Jones says the School Facility Project is progressing. Jones provided the board with an update on the project on Wednesday.
Jones said there was a lot of work to do in the High School music room.
He says the lighting system is finished in the elementary building, and the fire suppression system is installed in the south half of the facility. The system will be installed in the high school this next year.
The School District patron passed the $12.9 million project in November 2021. The work included remodeling, repairing, and improving the K-12 facilities and building, and equipping a four-room addition. Those classrooms are designed for the CTE departments-industrial tech, FCCLA, Music, and Ag classrooms.
