Dolores (Dee) Jean Rinehart, the daughter of Walter (Teen) and Alice (Pope) Schueman, was born on April 1, 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was one of 5 children. She grew up and attended school in Avoca, Iowa.
After high school, Dee married Wayne Sampson in 1969 and had two children from this union. She married John (Jay) Dargin in 1982 and also had two children with him. And in 1996 she found her forever love, Jimmy Rinehart, welcoming his two children into her family. Dee worked numerous jobs over the years, including Oakland Beef Plant, Heritage Inn, Embers, Variety, Spencer’s Grocery Store, and Wells Distributing.
Dee loved animals and little kids. She was a grandma to many children, not just her own. She always had a home remedy for everything, and it usually involved Listerine or vinegar. She enjoyed her indoor and outdoor flowers, fishing with her husband, boating and spending time with family and friends. And you always knew when you visited Dee there was going to be great home-made food on the table.
Dee died on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE having attained the age of 72 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ruby Schueman, her brother Bobbie Schueman, mother-in law Lorraine Rinehart, father-in-law Gerald Rinehart, sister-in-law Sheila Ellison and brother-in-law Dwayne Ellison.
Survivors include her husband Jimmy Rinehart of Moravia Iowa. Her children: Celine and husband Bryan Simonsen of Walnut, Nyla and her husband Mark Paulsen of Avoca, TJ Dargin and his partner Jamie Hill of Persia, Jackie Dargin of Oakland, Nikki Enos and her husband Jimmy from Indianola and Logan Rinehart and his wife Missy of Oregon, Wisconsin; 18 grandkids, 5 great grandchildren with one on the way; her sisters Jane and her husband Ray Olsen of Avoca and Rita Osbahr of Avoca; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Family will greet friends on Monday, June 5 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, Iowa. Burial will be in Moravia at a later date. Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
