AHSTW graduated three quality seniors from an 18 win team last year. Here’s coach Trevor Gipple, “I’ve just told the girls that I want to compete every night. We do have a lot of young kids on the field this year. They are getting their first taste of varsity action. I just told them to be tough outs and compete every pitch. That’s kind of the expectation right now.”
The Lady Vikes do have some depth in the pitching department. “Loralei Wahling has been throwing really good in the offseason. She’ll get the nod against Harlan. Sienna Christian is another sophomore who can give us some innings. Also Halle Goodman, a freshman, is just a versatile player and can throw.”
Riley Knop and Graycen Partlow are two of the top returning hitters. Pregame coverage comes your way at around 7:00.
