Riverside defends their girls 4X400 title. This time around it was Veronica Schechinger, Elly Henderson, Lydia Erickson, and Carly Henderson.
A 7th place finish in the 4X400 for Atlantic. They also medaled in last year’s 4X400. This group consisted of Ava Rush, Mariah Huffman, Chloe Mullenix, and Claire Pellett.
Austin Kunkle added to his haul with a 200 meter dash title. The ACGC senior set state meet records in both the 100 and 200. His winning time in the 200 was 21.69.
Jayci Reed placed 8th in the 100 Meter Hurdles. She was the only freshman to make the finals in Class 3A.
A great start in the 100 Meter Hurdles led to a 2nd place finish for Audubon’s Madi Steckler.
Cash Emgarten, of Exira-EHK, went from missing the state meet as a sophomore to placing 5th in the 200 as a junior.
CAM’s Sam Foreman placed 3rd in the 110 Meter High Hurdles and also ran on the Cougar’s 4th place Shuttle Hurdle Relay.
Jack Follmann made his first career state finals appearance in the 110 High Hurdles. The CAM junior placed 6th. He was also on CAM’s 4th place shuttle hurdle, which very nearly broke a state meet record.
Morgan Botos, Chloe Mullenix, Adler Bruce, and Jayci Reed teamed up for a 7th place finish in the sprint medley relay for Atlantic.
A 3rd place finish for Audubon’s Madi Steckler in the 200. It was her 2nd top three finish of the day.
ACGC’s Austin Kunkle took down a state meet record by winning the 100 in 10.52.
Veronica Andrusyshyn for Riverside has medaled three times in the 100 meter dash. As a senior she placed 5th.
A state meet record for Harlan’s Will Neuharth. He won the 100 in 10.68.
A state runner-up finish for Atlantic’s Ava Rush. She went 2:14.14 in the 800.
Placing 8th in the 800 for Atlantic was Claire Pellett.
CAM lowered their own school record and grabbed a medal in the sprint medley. Kegan Croghan, Sam Foreman, Collin Bower, and Cale Maas ran 1:36.93 to finish 8th.
Nodaway Valley had Grace Britten, Maddie Weston, Emma Lundy, and Abby Engles on their sprint medley. The Wolverines won their heat and placed 4th overall.
Atlantic’s Sprint Medley placed 19th with Mariah Huffman, Jayci Reed, Morgan Botos and Nicole Middnets.
