James Douglas McClain, the son of Guy Newton and Virgie Matilda (Stone) McClain, was born June 20, 1935 in Henderson, IA. James died May 10, 2023, at his home in Carson, IA, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 20 days.
A funeral service for James will be on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Wheeler Grove Church, east of Carson. Visitation with the family will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family.
