(Harlan) A former Harlan Middle School Teacher has been charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Purchase/Possession Depiction of Minor in Sex Act 1st Offense.
Shelby County Sheriff Neil Gross confirmed 31-year-old Eric Robert Croghan turned himself in on a warrant Monday afternoon and was released on bond the same day.
Nathaniel McLaren, Special Agent in Charge of the Cyber Crime Bureau Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force, previously spoke with KSOM/KS95 News about the investigation.
The Harlan School District had immediately put Croghan on administrative leave when the investigation came to light. Croghan then submitted his resignation, which was approved by the Board.
According to court records, a preliminary hearing has been waived.
