(Des Moines, IA) — The 2023 Iowa Legislative Session comes to a close. Today, lawmakers finished passing 8-point-5 billion dollars worth of budget proposals and a measure requiring in-person caucuses. The last several months at the Iowa State Capitol also featured debate on Governor Kim Reynolds’ educational savings account law that gives families nearly 76-hundred dollars per student to pay for private school tuition and a government realignment measure reducing the number of state agencies from 37 to 16.
