(Undated) Counties in Eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River are preparing for moderate-to-severe flooding, as snow melts in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Ground along the Mississippi River is still too cold to absorb the water from the melting snow, causing runoff into rivers and streams. Governor Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for multiple counties along the Mississippi River. The crest in the Quad Cities is likely to be just shy of 22-feet, the record set in 2019.
