(Des Moines) Iowa House is set to debate 17 bills today. The proposal capping annual property tax increases at three percent and reducing school levies is on the calendar. Also up for debate a bill restricting what information the state auditor’s office can access and another proposal calling for a convention of states to limit the powers of the federal government. Iowa would be the 20th of 34 states needed to pass such a measure favoring the convention.
