(Des Moines, IA) — Online games have apparently created a golden opportunity for scammers. The Iowa Insurance Division says scammers groom thru test messages and will eventually ask for money. Romance scams are being reported at an alarming rate by Iowans of all ages. The Federal Trade Commission reports U-S consumers lost nearly 9 (B) billion dollars to fraud in 2022, up 30-percent from 2021.
