(Des Moines, IA) — Iowans who suffer from spring allergies can likely tell that pollen counts have been way up lately, thanks to budding trees. Allergists have reported record-high pollen counts over the last few years. One-in-four people suffer from airborne allergies. Over-the-counter products can ease mild symptoms. It may not be a quick fix though, as trees in Iowa produce pollen at different times, and grass and molds can be irritating too.
