(Red Oak) Montgomery County Supervisor Mark Peterson speaking at the supervisor’s regular meeting, reported on his recent meeting with Southwest Iowa Regional Health.
Peterson explained there are nine counties, meaning nine supervisors on the board. He says a proposed bill in the State House changing the local presence on that board may pass through the House and the Senate.
Peterson says with nine county supervisors; they have to have ten from the other organizations to put the supervisors less than fifty percent on a 19-member board.
Peterson says there is a budget formula that states you have to spend down your money, or you will get less the following year.
