(Iowa City) The Iowa women’s basketball team rolled to a 95-43 win at home on Friday over a confident bunch from SE Louisiana.
Iowa scored the first five points of the game and never trailed. They led 28-17 after one quarter and 54-32 at halftime. The Lady Lions were held to just nine points in the 3rd quarter and two in the 4th.
Caitlin Clark posted 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 12 assists. Monica Czinano had 22 points on 10/12 shooting along with 8 rebounds. Hannah Stuelke made all five of her shot attempts and scored 13 points.
The Hawkeyes take a 27-6 record into the next round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on Sunday.
